Dr. Roland Vantramp was born into a family of dairy farmers in Nebraska and is the second oldest of 15 children.
After graduating high school, he attended the University of South Dakota where he met and married his wife "Charlie," a dental hygiene student.
Dr. Vantramp was going through the Army ROTC parachute jump training program at Fort Benning, Ga., when he learned of his acceptance into the Dental School Program at Oral Roberts University. Soon after, he moved his young family to Tulsa, Oklahoma. With the love and support of his hard working wife, Charlie, he graduated from the Michael Cardone, Senior School of Dentistry in 1982. During the graduation ceremony, Dr. Vantramp was recognized by the Oklahoma Academy of General Dentistry as the senior student who demonstrated the greatest promise of becoming an outstanding general dentist.
During his General Practice Residency at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, Dr. Vantramp gained additional training in oral surgery, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic and restorative dentistry. In 1983, he was transferred by the military to McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington where he served until 1986.
It was on August 25, 1987, that Dr. Vantramp and his wife Charlie, a career hygienist, founded Dove Family Dentistry in Federal Way. Twenty years later, Dr. Vantramp opened a second office in his hometown of Puyallup, Washington where he now practices exclusively.
Dove Family Dentistry is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jordan Zingerman ("Dr. Z") to our dental practice. He is committed to the highest quality of patient care and shares the same core values which Dove Family Dentistry was built on. Dr. Zingerman grew up in Selah, Washington, where he attended Riverside Christian School. He served as high-school student body president and captain of both varsity baseball and soccer teams. Dr. Zingerman received his undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University, graduating with honors while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Zingerman received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. While at the College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Zingerman worked in a state of-the-art clinic gaining valuable experience and training from general dentists as well as specialists in each of the different areas of dentistry. Graduating with high honors, he was recognized by the dental faculty and presented with the Midwestern University Life-Long Learner Award for embracing technology and evidence-based practices in dentistry. The American Academy of Implant Dentistry awarded Dr. Zingerman for outstanding achievement, both academically and clinically, in implant dentistry. At graduation, he was selected as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for achieving an academic standing in the top ten percent of his class, exhibiting clinical excellence, and for his ongoing commitment to ethical patient care.
Dr. Zingerman has a heart for service and has been a part of multiple international detal teams who provided oral health care and education to under-served communities in Guatemala, Belize, and Costa Rica. In the Puyallup Valley, Dr. Zingerman continues to volunteer by providing dental treatment and care for students in our community, partnering with the Medical Teams International dental van. Each year, he has also joined together with Remote Area Medical teams to provide care for those in need in the greater Seattle area.
During the last three years, Dr. Zingerman has been caring for patients in our community right here in Puyallup. He is excited to be partnering with Dr. Vantramp in continuing to provide remarkable dental treatment for our patients both now and in the future.

Dr. Zingerman and his wife Kelsey, who grew up in Auburn, are both excited to have returned home to the Northwest. They are enjoying the adventure of parenthood with their son, Hunter who was born in 2015. Dr. Zingerman and his wife volunteered much of their time as mentors for a foster care group home and as Young Life leaders while in Arizona. They currently serve together as Young Life Committee Members for the Puyallup School District, and enjoy spending time together hiking, camping and exploring the great outdoors with family and friends. Charlie attended the University of South Dakota where she earned her B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She was a clinical hygienist for almost 20 years and during that time had the privilege of serving as a clinical instructor for 2 years at Pierce College's School of Dental Hygiene (formerly Fort Steilacoom). Charlie left Pierce College to help her husband establish Dove Family Dentistry in 1987. In 1991 she retired from hygiene and stepped into the role of Human Resources for Dove Family Dentistry. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and volunteering with the Miss America/Washington Organization.
Kris entered into the dental field in 1973, when she began as a chair-side assistant. Nine years later she made the move to administration, where she's been working as a scheduling coordinator ever since! Kris has lived in Graham with her husband Mark for 21 years and has 2 grown children. Kris enjoys entertaining friends and has a self-proclaimed shoe addiction! She says her husband Mark has enough hobbies for the both of them, and she takes part in all she can. You'll hear Kris' cheerful voice calling to schedule recare appointments and she is the first face you will see when you enter our office! Kris brings a lot of wonderful energy to our office, and we have to admit it's contagious!
Jana is our Treatment Coordinator and is well versed in insurance issues to better assist with your financial needs. She can help answer your financial questions and determine the best possible use of your insurance benefits. Jana has been working in dentistry since 1997 and has been part of Dove Family Dentistry since 2000. In her spare time she loves to scrapbook, hike and spend quality time with her family and friends.
Teri has been one of Dr. Vantramp's hygienist since 2002. She has been in dentistry since 1982, receiving her dental hygiene degree from Pierce College, formerly known as Ft. Steilacoom Community College. Teri was born and raised in Puyallup and now lives in Federal Way. She considers her husband Gary, daughter Megan and son Connor to be one of God's greatest blessings in her life!
Amanda joined our team in November of 2013. Amanda knew she wanted to be a hygienist at the age of 8! Amanda has a passion for dentistry and has been a wonderful addition to our staff. She brings 5+ years of dental experience, including working with children who have autism and sensory disorders. Born and raised in the Midwest, Amanda met and married a “Northwest boy” while attending Southern Illinois University. There she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009. Shortly after graduation, Amanda and her husband, Chris moved back to WA and made Lake Tapps their home. Together they enjoy traveling, boating, waterskiing and classic cars. When you come in to see her ask her about her Mercury Comet!
Kristie joined the Dove Family Dentistry team in August 2016. As our newest hygienist, Kristie brings energy and a fresh perspective! Kristie attended Western Washington University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Shortly after, she returned to school and earned her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Pierce College. Kristie is currently the president of the Washington Dental Hygiene Association where she loves to connect with other active hygienists in the community. Kristie was born and raised in Puyallup, WA. It is not uncommon for her to know many of our patients, new and old. Kristie is also an active member in Young Life. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Kristie and her husband recently purchased their first home together, they are learning the joys of construction and remodeling!
Tori is Dr. Vantramp's Clinical Coordinator and is also a registered dental assistant. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with her BFA, with an emphasis in graphic design. Following her graduation in 2000 she took a "summer job," at Dove Family Dentistry and has been there ever since! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and seeing Broadway plays/operas.
Katheen (rhymes with ‘caffeine’) joined the Dove Family Dentistry team in 2014. Katheen graduated Clover Park Technical College in December of 2003 and brings 10+ years of experience to our office as a Certified Dental assistant. Katheen grew up in a military family and has lived all over the United States. Her interest in dentistry started through her grandfather, a U.S. Navy dental assistant and later worked in dental sales. At that time, Katheen had the opportunity to travel with him and experience dentistry. Katheen loves to learn and has a number of hobbies including; gemology, naturopathic medicine, painting, singing and much more. Katheen’s vast knowledge of many subjects keeps us enlightened and entertained daily!
Rachel is a Registered Dental Assistant and joined our practice in September of 2016. With a growing practice, Rachel has been the perfect addition. Rachel graduated from Everest College in Tacoma and has been in dentistry since 2011. She has extensive knowledge in oral surgery, implant placement and root canal therapy. When not at work, Rachel enjoys all the fun activities and restaurants that Seattle has to offer. She loves playing beach volleyball on the waterfront at Alki, dog sitting for friends and spending time with family and friends.
